I have always loved to draw, paint and create various forms of art. After my three children were grown and moved out, I was left with time! Time to move ahead on this journey of life and see where God was leading me.
When Gracie and Co was started in 2005, I created simple designs, drawn and colored to use on the note cards with a scripture under it. As the years went by, I would design new cards to add to my collection and starting doing personalized cards , invitations and announcements. Then two years ago, my life changed. My Mother passed away. From the time we found out about her diagnosis, it was a family journey that we all were on with her. Pancreatic cancer was our life. We were there to help her and to love on her, but when the illness took over and she was too weak to fight,it became a spiritual journey for me.
After she died a short 5 months later, I started down a different path with my art and its meaning. I still love the simple designs but have concentrated on my angels and uplifting messages to go along with them.
I use acrylic paints after I have sketch my images, then I scan them to use on the note cards. I have started experimenting with mixed media paintings, which I absolutely love, but am very much still learning everything. The possibilities are endless with all the different options of paper, inks and paints.
I want to thank Debbie, for letting me be her guest on her awesome blog. I have enjoyed meeting Debbie and love to follow all of her wonderful posts and pictures. I am very appreciative of this opportunity that she has given me.
