Some of the Fabrics I chose for the livingroom makeover

Before we took this furniture and move it into our den/theater room.. This was Christmas 2012, big changes this year. Not as crowded, and NO TV in the living room this time, we have them in several other rooms, so this will be a quite room for me to read, visit with friends.

Before when it was tooooo full.. We have moved all of this to a lager room for a playroom/movie roomnew chair 2

I am deciding if I will use the print I got from Jane at Gracie and Co, now all matted and framed, over the sofa. I do love Angels, and this one turned out very nicely.. I decided on a more traditional sofa but. should I want to go coastal this Summer, I could with it’s style and color of “Baby Wheat” is what it is called. Chose the textured fabric pillows to match the chair for now. Decided to go with the textured chair below, as well as add some stripes, I love them too

new chairs I love texture and I have always had my own personal love affair with different ones. I love to mix and match with stripes, so I did just that. A very comfy chair it is too.

I chose a linen sheer from Pottery Barn for some color, and a bit more texture to the over all room.

I wanted a rug under the coffee table to break up the hardwoods so, I chose this waffle weave from Pottery Barn, and I love the look on the dark floor with the dark coffee table..

Now in each room I love one warn distressed piece, but where this will  go in this room, I’ve yet to decide.. So Mr Shabby have worked very hard on each room in our home as we did each room and added new hardwoods, appliances, granite counter tops, lighting, carpet upstairs, and new items for those rooms.. As soon as we have finished before the holidays, you will see the before’s and the afters..

We still have  away to go but we are here there and everywhere, almost there!

Good to see you all, come back soon for updates. Your comments are always welcome here

This is so much fun looking forward to all your update photos and the choices you have made. Thanks for sharing and am enjoying much !! I love your idea of a ‘worn’ piece in each room — our home is like that. It’s been a workable way for me to enjoy my antiques and my hubby not to feel like we live in a very old house. Of course, I adore old homes ! Your color contrast with your darker floor is particularly well done. P.S. Congrats for figuring out a way to have a room w/o T.V. !!

  4. The colors are so relaxing. Can’t wait to see the final photos
